Hop-Scotch

For my Hop-Scotch project I decided to make a series of memories according to the numbers 1-8 on the Hop-Scotch board. Since this is a childish game, I wanted to do them as cartoon drawings because kids like to draw cartoons. You don't see many children drawing detailed pictures or making collages or drawing pictures in charcoal and such. I rearranged them as a Hop-Scotch board to guide the audience through my thought process.
The first picture is "My First" - my first cellphone, first glasses, first crush, first puppy, first time riding a bike, first job, first paycheck, and first love. These were the most memerable memories.
The second picture is a drawing of my rainboots because I was wearing them while playing the game. I had two rainboots therefore placing them in the second box.
The third picture are all my three three hour classes. HOGD stands for History of Graphic Design, DF II is our Drawing Fundamentals II class, and D&V:C stands for Design & Vision: Color. I drew this on the canvas because I was drawing/playing the game in drawing class.
The fourth drawing are my roomates, we have a bunch of memories together so they are a part of my project. Together we make up four people living under one roof.
The fifth picture are my family. We have five people all together so I made a family tree of our family and "etched" in a heart into the tree.
Six Flags is my favorite theme park so I related back to the game by starting off slow but when as the game went on, it ended really quick.
The seventh picture are all my sins, seven deadly sins. They are: Gluttony, Lust, Envy, Sloth, Pride, Wrath, and Greed. The size of the circles represents how much sin my deadly sins are. I love to eat junk food the most. I am also an angry person however I can be loving to the ones I truely love. I like to sleep but I don't get much sleep because of school. I am not that greedy when it comes to money, I save my money and use it only when I need it. I don't get jealous over other girls and I am pretty modest.
The last picture is my birthday because my birthday just passed and it's on March 8th. The candles spell out March and there are eight flames.
